In Sunday School today we talked about Elisha when he became the prophet (after Elijah was taken up by a whirlwind). I love the story of when Elisha's servant was worried because the host of the Assyrians were surrounding them. Elisha's answer was that "they that be with us are more than they that be with them." Cory and I were talking about this simple teaching and discussing how we have seen this in our lives. We have been so blessed over the past several months. We have been without jobs and yet with the many blessings coming from Heavenly Father, often through the wonderful people we know, we have been able to get by and have plenty for our needs. We would like to thank those angels and our Heavenly Father for His love and His willingness to shower us with blessings. As we keep ourselves on the Lord's side, through obedience, we will always conquer.
During sacrament meeting I was thinking about how often the little blessings in our lives go unnoticed. As Cory and I have been striving to think of our blessings over the past several months we have been able to find so many blessings that we would have overlooked otherwise. Heavenly Father truly does bless us with tender mercies. It isn't just every so often, it's daily that He blesses us, even hourly. I encourage everyone to count their blessings over the next week or so. Great insight and joy will follow. :)
